the merry month of May...

....completely got swept away out from under me.

It went by so incredibly fast.

I spent a large amount of time in the studio creating and making due to the high volume of orders we got as a result of our fantabulous article in Etsy.....but also, we sent A LOT of work to three additional stores in May.

They are located in San Francisco, Portland and here in good ol' Denver.  

Norbert is working on adding a page to our website with all the locations that carry our work. It should hopefully be up this week.

Besides, making this custom order necklace...

...I spent May keeping up with all of that wonderful busy-ness.

For the past week, however, I have been designing!!!

As always, I get super excited to share my new work so please keep an eye here and the fb page for the drop.
We are working hard to get my new work listed as soon as possible.

Otherwise, we've also been spending a lot of time with my parents who have been living in our house for the past month. We have LOVED having them here, but they will soon be gone because they are moving to a sweet townhome 8 minutes away.

So all in all I feel like the last 6 weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. I did, though, spend a good week in that timeframe celebrating my birthday.....because apparently the older you get, the more days you get to tack on to the celebration ;)

festivities

I made this tart for my little one's birthday yesterday.

It's an apricot & pear tart recipe that I found in Real Simple.

It is delicious!

Look's a bit similar, huh?

We had a great day spent with Nana and Papa who have come to stay for a few weeks.

We first headed to a coffee shop for bagels and coffee and chocolate milk for the little ones.

After a quick stop in a thrift shop we headed to local children's museum for several hours.

The second half of the day was mainly spent cooking, baking and eating.

The process is always as much, if not more fun, as sitting down to actually eat.

We usually have music going, a drink poured, and in this case a glass of beer, for everyone over 5 feet.

 (my mom's not much taller than this ;)

 That stack of tortillas, by the way, was made by my mom. She makes the BEST tortillas...hands down!

She made a fresh dozen about 3 to 4 times a week when I was growing up.

Even now, she makes them every week because of all of her children and grandchildren who completely devour them.

After the festivities we topped off the day with a pajama party.

I can't believe my youngest is 3.

It goes by SO incredibly fast.....

yet when they are yelling at the top of their lungs and destroying things I often think to myself,

"exactly when does this phase end??" ;)

Celebrations

These are my birthday flowers :)

You know I like freshly cut flowers in my house! It feels like a different kind of energy floats through here when I have them. I just wish I got them more often ;)

So today, I'm working, but not quite as much as normal (birthday orders;). The day started rather slowly and I spent a good chunk of it just sitting on my front porch sipping coffee, talking to the Mister, while the boys hopped around blowing bubbles.

It was nice :)

Today is going to be mellow....can't get too wild on a Monday ;) 

I did have a super fun birthday celebration, though, on Saturday. My friend (and neighbor) just so happens to have the exact same birthday, so we decided to have a joint b-day bash.

It was fun, fun, fun :)

And on to more important news:

We are having a sale. It's another celebration of sorts.

It's our Etsy anniversary/Grand opening of our web shop sale.

It starts right now and will be going on until June 15th. Our website has the sale prices in place, whereas on Etsy we will be issuing the paypal refund after the purchase has been made.

I put all those details in my newsletter as well, which went out about half an hour ago.

Lots of good stuff going on ;)

I just can't believe it's been one year for Etsy!!

OH! And I'm also having a giveaway over here.

Fiesta

Yesterday was my parents anniversary and today is my dad's birthday, so since yesterday the mood has been very celebratory ;) Below is a pic of a few things that we have been digging into...

Right now it is time for some apple pie, ice cream, evening coffee (yum yum ) and some good conversation.
