baseplates and bezels

On my workbench this morning:

Sawed out sterling baseplates...

...and fine silver bezels.
That large chunk of amythest is going to metamorph into a necklace.

Norbert and I are working tonight as well as tomorrow. We're working on this shop update along with customer and wholesale orders. We are in full juggle :)

The shop update will be on Thursday...I'll try to show you a peek tomorrow!

good night

a surprise visit

Good morning!

Okay, let me tell you:  it's been a long, a tiring and a wonderful weekend all in one. My sister, her family and a couple of close friends decided to spring a surprise visit on us and thus started a whirlwind of fun.
The inaugural activity for the weekend began at the Friday Faire.

How about that blue hour sky??

Well said.

Next up: A Coors Brewery tour. The long line in the sun meant that we were mighty thirsty by the time we got inside.
The fix? Super fresh day-old beer.

The bus ride in....

...and a pit stop at the Capitol Grill in Golden on the way home.

After a much needed nap, it was on to Pearl Street...

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon eating, drinking, laughing and, for some, hitting a round of golf balls at the nearby driving range.

I also gave this to my sister:

She claimed this stone a long time ago...

Off to finish my new designs :)

doing this, not doing that

I got home two hours ago and instead of putting away all the groceries and cleaning the kitchen I'm piddling around with my camera (a.k.a. toy ;)

I'm looking at this:

and definitely not feeling like doing that.

Maybe it's the weekend starting to tug at me, or the heat, or maybe the idea that in two hours I'm going to be kicking back with the girls drinking some chilled pinot grigio while my toes sink deep into the grass. How about all of the above? Either way, I'm feeling straight-up laazy.

By the way, the shop update is going to be next week. For real :)

the Weekend

....in pictures:

...and words:

- yoga Thursday evening with Kathryn Budig at the new Gaiam store on Pearl Street
- yoga Friday morning with Kathryn Budig (again!) and Seane Corn at the Hanuman Festival
- a super sore pair of shoulders due to at least 5,000 chaturangas!
- camping in the mountains outside of Frisco
- many, many charred marshmallows and s'mores eaten and served
- fresh mountain air mixed with the smells of campfire (LOVE)
- capped off with a bbq back home for Father's Day

It was a great weekend  :)

the merry month of May...

....completely got swept away out from under me.
It went by so incredibly fast.

I spent a large amount of time in the studio creating and making due to the high volume of orders we got as a result of our fantabulous article in Etsy.....but also, we sent A LOT of work to three additional stores in May.
They are located in San Francisco, Portland and here in good ol' Denver.

Norbert is working on adding a page to our website with all the locations that carry our work. It should hopefully be up this week.

Besides, making this custom order necklace...

...I spent May keeping up with all of that wonderful busy-ness.

For the past week, however, I have been designing!!!
As always, I get super excited to share my new work so please keep an eye here and the fb page for the drop.
We are working hard to get my new work listed as soon as possible.

Otherwise, we've also been spending a lot of time with my parents who have been living in our house for the past month. We have LOVED having them here, but they will soon be gone because they are moving to a sweet townhome 8 minutes away.

So all in all I feel like the last 6 weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind. I did, though, spend a good week in that timeframe celebrating my birthday.....because apparently the older you get, the more days you get to tack on to the celebration ;)

See you soon...
