Okay....I'm back!
What a rough 6 weeks it has been, but it's in my rear view mirror now!!!!!
So, here's my journey in a nutshell:
- I started having mild chest pains at the beginning of February
- food poisoning that lasted a few days
- the flu along with my boys that lasted a few more days
- more chest pain/pressure including my left arm tingling and going a bit numb (and all over feeling really just flat out wrong) that sent us to the ER in fear of a heart attack. I was hooked up to an EKG machine that eliminated that possibilty. Thank god!
- the following day at my OB appt. the Doc found a swollen type of 'mass' in my left breast/underarm (where the pain was radiating from) that worried her and so she sent me to get an ultrasound (which I had to wait 3 days for) with a possible mammogram.
- Okay, can you tell that by this time I'm a bit freaked out???!!!! My parents arrived at this time for some much needed support!
- Ultrasound is clear can I hear a hallelujah?? no tumor!!
- After feeling good for about a week I started experiencing vertigo coupled with difficulty breathing, thus sending us scurrying off to my parent's house, fed up with it all and in need of some serious R&R.
So........what it looks like I actually have, is a pulled/pinched nerve under my arm that caused all of this commotion. Sheesh.........!
People - I am ready to move on! Spring is coming and a new leaf has been turned. Thank you for all of your comments, emails and convos. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your support!!
So, I am back to work this week and it will still be a bit slow at first. I am still working on healing myself, but there are lots of wonderful developments in the works and I am nothing but excited and positive (oh yeah....and relieved ;) to move forward. I will be sending out a newsletter at the beginning of April and as a reminder, if you want to be added to that list just send me an email at info@bluehourdesigns.com
Anybody else excited for spring?! ;)

Goodbye February.
So long. Farewell!!!!!!!
February has not been particularly kind to me!
I had a couple of really big health scares, coupled with the flu for my little ones and myself. Let's just say that I am very, very, very, very relieved!
I am still on the mend. I don't have my energy back and my upper body is still very weak. So new work will take awhile to make it to my shop, and when it does, it will come a bit slowly. It is frustrating to be so tired and weak all the time, but at least I'm alive :) I promise, I'm not being overdramatic here! I'll explain more soon...
I thought I'd share a few custom orders I completed right before February hit! This ring was made for a very lovely customer who provided the gorgeous Boulder Opal for the setting.
And this ring has one of my favorite stones: a Botswana Agate from Madagascar.
Looking at these rings makes me SO anxious to get back to work!!
Well I'm off to go visit with my familia....my parents have been in town for a few days and it has been such a welcome change :)
I hope you all had a great weekend!!

Just Say Yes
So it looks like I have the flu....wonderful! lots of sarcasm here ;)
So you know what I'm going to do??? I popped a couple of dayquil and I'm going to listen to this song....maybe 50 times in a row, because this song makes the hairs on the back of my neck standup.
I. Love. It.
I'll hopefully see you really soon..............on the other side!
p.s. What in the world was I thinking by creating a 'happy list' without including music and creating??! The pain medicine is getting to me, I think ;)

Recovery
Well, I thought we would be well by now. But my little ones are not....they are still sickies and it just hurts my heart to see them so sad and pathetic looking :( So I apologize for a slow blog this week and a delayed newsletter. We are just focusing mainly on recovery. Life is just not the same without the laughter, banging and yelling I usually hear bouncing off of our walls!
This also means that I have not been able to get down to my workshop....I really miss it! I am walking around with ideas brewing in my head! It will be exciting when they get to pour out of me. I do, however, have a few more pieces to add over the next day or so. This pair of earrings will go up tomorrow along with a couple more pairs.
I also have a pendant that I made a few weeks ago for another piece of Baltic amber that I bought this summer. I just need to handwrap the beads for the chain and it will be done. We will see though....I do not have very many expectations for work right now ;)
So to get me in a bit of a better mood I will post one of my all time favorite songs (my husband will laugh when he reads this because he will say that I have a lot of 'all time favorite songs' ;)
goodnight...

Lost, but found :)
Where in the world have I been....you ask?
Well, let me give you a rundown:
1. I was a single parent last week. My husband was out of town on business and returned late on Friday night. Sometimes I need to be reminded just how wonderful my husband really is.....and not having him around was that big reminder!! So basically work was out of the question.
2. We had a neighborhood party on Saturday (lots o'fun I tell you!)...that followed our son's preschool pizza party...that followed his first soccer game. So Saturday was just nuts. In a good way ;)
3. We spent half the day cleaning our house on Sunday because it looked like something blew up here. I think that is a sign that fun was had by ALL.
4. My husband and youngest monkey got sick Sunday night....
5. ...which leads us to today where my husband is now recovering, but my little one is still feverish and unhappy :(
So today I had a limited time to post new items in my shop, but here they are:
