Call for Pictures - Winners

We are minutes away from the weekend, but before it's time to check out and celebrate, I want to announce the winners of our 'Call for Pictures' giveaway.

We randomly chose three winners from our list of submitted pictures, right before Christmas.

This is our second time doing this giveaway, and if you're new or want to revisit, the first year's winners can be found here.

Laura's picture is the first one we selected and she is wearing the 'Hover necklace' while, I believe, enjoying herself immensely in Napa Valley :)

Second, is Alison wearing a pair of 'Shield earrings' and the 'Frame ring'.

On a side note, the gorgeous hand knitted scarf she is wearing in this picture, is her own creation.

(Knitting is one of the skills I would love to tackle one day...)

And the last picture chosen is from another fabulous customer, Rheanon, wearing the 'Spotted ring'.

Thank you SO MUCH for those of you who sent us pictures!

It really is such a thrill to be able to see our work out there in the world.

Annual 'Call for Pictures'

A year ago, we asked our wonderful customers to send in pictures wearing our jewelry and in turn we randomly chose several from that group to receive $50 gift certificates to our website shop. You can find last year's winners here.

It was such a treat to see my pieces worn that we decided to make this 'call for pictures' giveaway an annual affair.

So here are the details:

- You can send me the pictures at info@bluehourdesigns.com or post them on our facebook page.

- The pictures can roll in up until November 30th

- In the beginning of December we will announce the winners here, our newsletter and also our facebook page.

- You can crop part of your face if that makes you feel comfortable!

- It's important to note that your picture may get published here and in our newsletter so PLEASE make sure that this is okay!

- The more pictures the merrier....send me as many as you want! We'd love to see them all.

So PLEASE send me your pictures!

Wrapping it up...and giving

Heya :)

I know I said I was out of the rabbit hole, but in actuality I kept one foot in. And a pair of hands. ;)

What free time I have had I spent it with friends and family (lots of holiday parties and evening trips to the bookstore for browsing, bagels & coffee...one of our favorite pasttimes). And some decompressing moments at night curled up in bed, reading.

I have a lot of thoughts in my mind that I'd like to share, but I think I'll save that for later. I'll be blogging much more in the coming weeks as things start winding down here in our part of the world.

Now, it is time for much more important news:

The randomly chosen winners of my Call for Pictures giveaway.

First off, is Bonnie wearing my 'Company of Circle's necklace.

She said that the necklace is special because it signifies her and her two sons. :)

Next, is Aimee wearing my 'Harvest Moon' earrings at her sister's wedding.

This is the only pair I have made of this design. 

(This picture just exudes happiness doesn't it?)

And lastly, is Samantha wearing one of my signature burst rings. 'Lemon Burst' to be exact :)

She is also modeling one of her fabulous knitting projects.

We will be emailing the gift certificates to the winners today.

I just realized that all three winners happen to be artists/crafters as well. Very cool :)

I can't even explain how wonderful it was to go through all of the pictures and read the lovely notes for every entry that came in. We LOVED it. I know I mentioned this before, but it's just so nice to see the faces behind the names. It makes my work feel even more special :)

THANK YOU everyone who submitted! We will definitely do this again next year.

And on to another important piece of news:

We will be closing our shops from December 23rd to January 7th.

We plan on relaxing, eating, drinking, laughing, talking and dreaming up a storm during this time so that we can come back in the new year with renewed vitality.

And honestly, I can't wait to show you what my thoughts and dreams have been preoccupied with...

HEAR, HEAR!!

We are having a suh-weet holiday giveaway for all of my wonderful customers!!

(I'm thinking of making it an annual thing :)

So the giveaway entails YOU sending us a picture of yourself wearing a piece of jewelry you have purchased from us. We will randomly choose several people from that pool for $50 gift certificates. This giveaway is only for those who submit pictures!! I want very much to see you wearing my pieces. You all get to see me plenty, but I very much want to see you as well. This is fair, yes??! So what better way to entice you than to waive some freebies over your head. ;)
