announcements and flowers

April's giveaway has just gone up this morning on our facebook page.
We will be giving our wrapped wire Encircled cuff this month.
It's super comfy to wear alone, but I have been loving pairing it with a stack of cuffs and bracelets, lately.

Another quick mention:
Our Sway earrings are on SALE this week in both Etsy and our website shops.

And now, here's a peek at what I've been looking at lately:

This gorgeousness is located just across the street from me.
I took about a thousand pictures of those trees that day.

Had to capture it before it's gone :)

A chance to win one of my 'burst' rings over at Mrs. French's lovely Bliss.
You can enter here.

She will be choosing a winner on Friday :)

And on a side, yet very important note, I hit two milestones within the week.
1. I passed the 1,000 sales mark on Etsy AND

These were MOMENTOUS occasions that were most definitely celebrated in this house!

Giveaway winner

The winner of my giveaway is................TRICIANA BURKE!!  Congratulations :)

A big thanks again to all of my wonderful followers and new arrivals!
We are incredibly appreciative of all of your support :)

We've also had the pleasure of adding two more locations that carry my jewelry this month. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts houses a 3000 sq ft retail space full of local and national artists work for sale. I am incredibly excited to join this prestigious group!!

I will also have my work displayed at the Ghost Gallery in Seattle. :)

They are located on Capitol Hill and display works from many artists around the U.S.
I am thrilled to add both the gallery and museum to our growing list of sales partners!!!

One other bit of news.....I am the featured sponsor for Purl Bee this month and along with that I am giving away 8 pairs of earrings to their readers. If you'd like to enter their drawing click here. You have until tomorrow to enter.

I've been otherwise just tucked in my studio working away and getting our boys ready for school
can you believe that summer vacation is already gone!!!??

We've also managed to get out of town for a few short trips that always helps invigorate us. We love to travel like I've mentioned a gazillion times ;) and visiting local areas is no exception. It's also getting easier and easier for us to travel now with the boys getting older. We definitely don't have to pack, anymore, like we're moving each time we leave the house for a night. ha!

Okay I'm off..................back to work :)
Have a great day!

Great Day!

So I have mentioned on here before that one of the blogs I enjoy perusing is Joanna Goddard's blog, a cup of jo. I am sponsoring her this month and I also set up a giveaway with two of my petite amber rings:

She posted the giveaway this afternoon on her blog here and there are already just over 1000 people who have entered!!!!!!!!! She will choose the winners sometime tomorrow and then I'll get to work making the custom rings :)

I have to admit that I have been reading some of the comments left on the giveaway post and as a result I am sitting happily on Cloud 9. Really, is it a bit strange that I am completely digging all of the amazing comments??? ;) If you could only understand how much I put into my work, the uncertainty of my very scary leap with changing professions.......to read or hear positive comments just does wonders to my soul! Not that I have ever wanted to turn back, but these postive affirmations make me hold my head up a bit higher....do you know what I mean?? (this goes for ALL of you wonderful people who have from the beginning sent me some serious love!)

A great day....really. Just a fabulous day.

If you need me, I'll be in my workshop ;)
goodnight!

Weekend wrap-up

Would you like to see what I just made for myself?

I love, love it!
For being a silversmith, I have too little shiny baubles for ME! At least that is what I told myself while I was making this ring ;) The tremendous stone encompassed in my ring is a labradorite. I am getting more of these stones soon and they will make an appearance in my shop soon after that.

Well, yesterday I was involved in another local town fair and again, not meaning to sound redundant, I had a really good time. The last hour, though, it kind of died on my end of the strip so I was busy sketching designs on my notepad to pass the time (and I was resting my feet because I was wearing my very cute and very new shoes that crippled my toes by the end of the day!) Other than that I met some more fabulous people and hopefully I am starting to get my name out in the community.

Some of the pieces I made for the fair will make their way into my shop this week. Here is one of them.....a pair of earrings with sterling silver and copper (these are mine by the way....I make a new pair for when the listing is purchased :)

I am totally cracking up here....I don't remember why, but I do know that my husband said something very naughty! ;)

And here is my 'ready for fall and turtlenecks' necklace! I've been wanting to make more lengthy necklaces and this one is my first for the shop. The flowers are oxidized to a charcoal hue so that they stand out from the rest of the chain.

Okay, well I'll be personally seeing you all tomorrow because I am going to post a video for my giveaway announcement.

See you then........:)
