last night...

I've had a bit of a tumultuous couple of weeks.
Highs and lows.
These kind of days, however, heal me very quickly....

It was a beautiful, beautiful evening...for everyone.

A few days ago, Norbert and I went to the Rock and Gem show in Denver to do a little shopping...

...there were rocks and crystals and fossils, left and right.

Hmmmm...

Slabs of Ocean Jasper

Labradorite stones

Picture Jasper, I believe.

And then on to the fair:

I'm working with some of those new stones that I bought at the Show, today.

Love, love, love working in my new space :)

here and there...

Sometimes, when the boys are dropped off at school, Norbert and I head out on a date...

...does it matter that it's for breakfast?

It's funny how even those little things, the bits of time here and there that we are able to steal for ourselves as a couple, make such a difference.
I love them....and so does he :)

And one quick snapshot before I head to bed:

The big monkey can officially ride his bike - as of this evening.
So that milestone required a celebratory round of ice creams at a local favorite.

Nana and Papa were called in for this one.....because that boy was proud.

And so is mommy and daddy!

unintentional

I didn't mean to just stop posting here after the August Break ended.
It just sort of happened.
The shop update and re-open brought on a wave of orders that preoccupied a lot of our time and we also spent some time doing a few of these things:

Have I mentioned how much I love to fish??
Because I do. I'd love to learn how to fly fish someday....

Experiments at the Children's Museum:

Starting 'em out young :)

A train ride in Denver was a welcome treat for all four of us!

And just this evening we spent time basking in the sun.

Fall has arrived here in Colorado and I absolutely love it.
The mornings and the evenings have cooled down considerably and I've started pulling out my sweaters and blankets.
I am now officially ready for this season.

Goodbye summertime...

p.s. I did something else this past week that I am super excited to share with you. You'll see it next week.
I've learned something new ;)
