Golden Days....

Life has definitely been moving at a fast pace.
We have really, really been enjoying vanaema's (Estonian grandma) visit and we are trying to show her as much of our area as possible.

This past weekend we headed to Golden for their Buffalo Bill Days parade and fair.
We were treated to dancing ponies, mariachis, a shoot-out, Native American dancing and the coolest gun-swinging chick I've ever seen! ;) She threw around a couple of 2 1/2 pound guns like they were feathers. There was som whip action too.......

She is still with us for another 8 days and we are also expecting some of my family this weekend for my oldest monkey's 5th birthday. We are going to be busting at the seams in our house.....but I'm anxious for the chaos to get here :)

I've actually been working a lot more than usual this past month and I will be so relieved to finally get a shop update up this week. It has been a loooooong time.
My goal is to start this Wednesday and finish on Thursday.

So, Norbert and I also decided to start a weekly sale where we will have one piece of jewelry at a reduced price in our shops for one week.
This week the 'What Sarah Said' earrings are on sale.
You can find it on our website and Etsy shops.

In the future, I will announce here and on the Facebook page which design it will be.

Okay, off to give two dirty monkeys a bath.......
(we just can't seem to get our little boys to bed earlier than 9:30 this summer! We're too busy enjoying the long warm days :)

Goodnight!

Travels, a giveaway and a thank-you

As I mentioned in my last blogpost, my Estonian mother-in-law is visiting for the month so we are taking several mini trips to show her this gorgeous state. This last weekend we headed down to Salida to meet up with a friend at a beer festival.

Norbert's in red and our friend Rudy is in green

Since we were heading that way we decided to stay for a few days and drive around Leadville, Aspen, Vail and Silverthorne.

Between Leadville and Aspen is a gorgeous highway that takes you over Independence Pass which is above the treeline.....which basically means we are pretty freaking high ;) 12,095 ft. to be exact.
Some of my absolute favorite hikes have been in this area.

The road is on the side of a cliff for a good portion of it and it has incredible views.

I love mountains.
 I mean, REALLY love mountains.
That is one of the main reasons we moved out here. We live really close to the base of the Rockies and to get to all of these aforementioned areas takes only a couple of hours. That doesn't even include all of the gorgeous areas around the flatirons, which is half an hour away from where we live.

My oldest monkey playing in the water in Aspen.

We did conduct a bit of business while out here though, so it wasn't all pleasure :)
We just believe in mixing it up. Always!

Aspens on the way to Aspen ;)

I did want to mention two things before I head out to the farmer's market:
1. A big THANK-YOU to Irene from Bloesem for such a sweet mention to our shop.
She definitely put smiles on our faces!
2. Also, Cassandra from Coco + Kelley is sponsoring a giveaway with $40 towards
any item in our shop. Head over here to enter!!

Oh! And also the newsletter was sent out this afternoon.
There's some good stuff in there ;)

Have a great evening!

Extras and update

These are some of my older designs that I brought back into my Etsy shop as well as our website.

There were quite a few actually.....

Even more than I have here. I have had lots of requests for some of my older designs and I finally got around to making more. I am trying to keep these in stock. I pride myself on getting packages sent out as quickly as possible and having these made helps with that a ton.

These two rings are in my online shop as well.

One other quick update.....Norbert added paypal capability to our website along with our credit card processing. So now there are both options when checking out.

I will be working hard this week to finish prAna's order, plus my mother in law is coming in late tonight from Estonia to stay with us for a month, so we are going to be having a busy week. We're super excited to see her though!! It's been a year now.....since we are so far away we try to visit one another at least once ever 12 to 18 months. The boys are excited to see their vanaema :)

I'm thinking that granola and yogurt is what's for dinner......bad I know, but I still have a whole house to clean! ;)

It's that time again....

Time for some listings.

I took a 2 - 3 hour break this evening to go and light fireworks.....so it's going to be a late night. We were supposed to light them last night, but we got rained out. It's no problem though because it feels like we celebrated twice :) The boys are having two late nights in a row. This morning they did not even wake up until after 8! Generally they are up like roosters at 6:30. I'm hoping that tomorrow morning they'll have a repeat! I'm definitely going to want to sleep in.............

So along with new work I am also reintroducing some old favorites to my Etsy shop.

These leaf earrings are making a reappearance.

AND these earrings are my new favorites! I LOVE, love, love how they came out. I've had this sketch sitting for awhile in my notebook.

So this pair started out as another old design I had made a long time ago, but once I started working on them they took on a completely different life. I am really happy with these, too.

I haven't had a turquoise necklace in my shop for quite awhile. I am  really digging the chain.

I have lots more and I am going to work as long as I can tonight and then I'll finish tomorrow.

THIS one, however, is mine :)
As soon as I saw this cut of citrine I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. Half-way through working on it I realized that I was going to keep this one. It's been waaaay too long since I've made myself a necklace.
I loved this one too much.

I will make this design again though.........when I find another stone shaped like a petal. It was a really fun (and time consuming) piece to work on.

Okay, I've got to get moving.....back to work.

bye :)
